Establishing greif & death on the sacred alter of life

Threshold Guardian

Kaitlyn is a dedicated threshold guardian and certified Sacred Passage Doula with a profound connection to the cycles of life and death. Her inner flame burns brightly at the convergence of mycology, art, and community death care, shaping her into a passionate advocate for embracing the inevitable transitions of life with compassion and embracing all that comes with them.

Her mission is to assist in dismantling the misconceptions that shroud the dying process. By reimagining death as a sacred part of life's continuum, Kaitlyn hopes to help individuals and communities realign their perspectives on the profound beauty inherent in every stage of existence.

Kaitlyn is a certified Sacred Passage Doula through the Conscious Dying institute in Boulder, CO, and lives her life in a way that aligns with these values. Her greatest teacher and inspiration on this path continues to be the Mycelial web. Mycelium, the death doulas of the earth, embody the continuous cycle of life and death, their unseen work essential for the continuity of ecosystems. In their delicate dance of decay and renewal, they remind us of the transient nature of existence and the enduring legacy of transformation.

Let us come together to share communal space to hold grief and praise.

Death and chocolate is a potent doorway into reestablishing Death on the sacred alter of Life. Through thought-invoking prompts, handcrafted herbal-infused truffles, ritual, and immersive experience we create safe and explorative container for people to contemplate death, grief and the edges of existence.

In this exploration participants pair up with a few different individuals to enjoy decadent truffles wrapped in thought-invoking prompts. Each round will begin with a soundscape to allow us to drop into our heart centers and connect from a spacious and grounded place. There will be a philosophical round, a round where we touch in with the grief that we feel around loosing someone we love, unjust deaths occurring around the world, and ecological grief, and a round where we contemplate our own death. These questions will open us up to our own beliefs, edges and experiences around Death; creating a safe container for contemplative heart-opening connection.

Death & Chocolate

I offer personalized 1-on-1 sessions for individuals navigating grief on various levels - from personal losses to broader global issues. I approach these challenges with an ecological perspective, focusing on both the individual's grief journey and the collective sorrow we experience in today's world.

I have also been trained in holding space for those approaching the end of life or actively within the dying threshold. Through compassionate support, I assist in coming to terms with mortality, preparing for the inevitable, and addressing spiritual, emotional, physical, and practical needs.

Each session is entirely unique based on the individual. I offer a space where we can explore and navigate these emotions through embodied practices such as movement, sound, creative expression, connecting with nature, and incorporate medicinal herbs and mushrooms based on the individuals desires and needs. My aim is to provide a compassionate environment where we can process, understand, and heal through these diverse modalities.

By allowing natures innate wisdom to be our guide, this approach honors the intricate web of life, revealing the profound beauty and power of the cycle we all inhabit ~ one that encompasses birth, growth, life, decay, death, and rebirth. This perspective not only fosters a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of all living beings but also nurtures a sense of love and compassion for individuals at every stage of their journey. By acknowledging and respecting all viewpoints, I can meet people exactly where they are in their own unique experience with reverence for the diverse beliefs that enrich our collective human experience.
