This mural was commissioned by a seed company: Fruition Seed.

Upon describing the philosophy behind their company this image bloomed within me. The power of the seed depicted through the journey of birth, growth, life, decay, death and new life.

Within the spiral illustrates the saga of life’s eternal dance: from seed to sapling, to mighty tree, ancestral guardian and then returning to the soil as a cradle for fresh seeds. Along with the unfolding of the seed, the seasons whisper throughout the mural, a day unfolds from dawn’s embrace to twilight’s sigh.

The humans placed within the chambers mirror the seeds odyssey, a young girl on a swing in the spring, a couple harvesting apples in the autumn, and an elder contemplating life’s twilight as the mother tree merges with mycelium, nurturing the seeds of tomorrow.
